- Incorporate more frequent and purposeful CFUs in lessons
- Hold students accountable through TLAC strategies
- Challenge students to back up their answers with evidence
- Encourage students to provide additional details/examples to support their answers
- Incorporate at least three checks for understanding into an upcoming lesson
- Script one of the following strategies for at least one of the CFUs: Cold Calling, No Opt Out, Right is Right or Stretch It
